Located in the heart of a charming medieval Tuscan village, this large apartment, lovingly renovated with exposed beams, is among the few that also have a private garden/yard that allows one to fully enjoy the mild climate.
▸ The primary apartment, approximately 137 m² / 1475 ft² on the first floor (2nd floor US/CAN), consists of
▸ The garden/yard (approx 55 m² / 592 ft²) with a stone paved terrace is off the kitchen.
▸ On the ground floor there is an additional studio apartment, approximately 55 m² / 592 ft², with a bathroom and kitchenette.
▸ A large storage room with courtyard and street front entrances completes the property.
When there are guests to welcome, the primary apartment can be divided using a door flush with the wall; the living room is already equipped with a small hideaway kitchen. A spiral staircase could be added to connect the studio flat to the main flat. The heating is autonomous, by natural gas. The wooden framed windows have double glazing except in one bathroom. A project exists to better take advantage of the garden/yard. The kitchens are included in the sale.
Technically the property is divided into a studio apartment (ground floor) and the garden/yard, a two-room apartment (upper floor) with cellar and a three-room apartment (upper floor); as mentioned, the two-room and three-room apartments are joined by a connecting door, a single apartment in essence. One might consider formally uniting the three apartments.
Life in a medieval Tuscan village offers many advantages: an authentic sense of community and belonging; shops and services are just a few steps away; cultural events throughout the year enliven social life.
With its private garden/yard, this large apartment located in the medieval Tuscany village of Massa Marittima is a unique and unmissable opportunity, for personal use or as an investment.
Once known as a significant mining center, today Massa Marittima is important for tourism, history, art, culture and gastronomy.
As for services, Massa Marittima is well provided for: supermarkets (Coop and Conad), bars, restaurants, the post office, banks, the San Andrea hospital, schools, pharmacies.
The splendid beaches of Follonica are about 25 minutes away.
The Follonica train station, about 20 minutes away, provides direct service to cities including Rome, Milan, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Pisa and Grosseto. International airports are easy to reach in Pisa, Florence and Rome.

Visit the property and its surroundings now using our 360° interactive virtual tour
A full screen button appears in the upper right. The same button will exit full screen mode
.
A floor plan appears on the right for each scene. Each scene which is on the current floor plan is indicated on the floor plan with a circle; the current scene is highlighted with a different color circle. Clicking / tapping on a circle will change the view to that scene. The floor plan may be closed or displayed by clicking on the floor plan icon. The floor plan is closed by default if the screen is really small (e.g. phones held vertically).
When a property has multiple floor plans numbers appear above the current floor plan; tapping or clicking a number changes the view to the first scene on that floor plan.
The complete list of scenes is available in a drop down list on the left. The current scene is highlighted. The list can be opened or closed
, tapping / clicking on its icon.
Link hot spots connect one room / space to another. Hover over with a mouse to see the target space name.
Using a table or phone it is possible to enable a virtual reality mode where the scene moves as the user moves their tablet or phone. This is enabled by default on small devices (phones). On a tablet it may be necessary to tap this \"phone\" icon. When enabled a \"finger\"
icon appears. Tap to enable movement by swiping.
Scenes will automatically rotate if the virtual reality mode isn't active; the rotation may be switched off using the pause
icon.
Arrows permit the user to pan the scene up, down, left and/or right.
Plus and minus buttons allow zoom in and zoom out.
A map of the area can be opened by clicking / tapping on the pin icon. The map has a layers icon in the upper right which allows the user to switch between aerial and street views.

We recommend using a tablet (best) or computer (notebook, desktop) to view the virtual tour. A mobile phone screen is too small to optimally view the scenes and to take advantage of all the tour features such as navigation using the floor plan. If you only have access to a mobile phone, we recommend viewing the tour horizontally, not vertically, in full screen mode.
