With two verandas (covered terraces), this single family 2 bedroom 3 bath home directly on Lago d’Iseo (Lake Iseo) is prefect for the outdoor living the lake’s mircoclimate encourages.
A gate from the lane which circles the island leads to a private courtyard and the ground level lake side veranda - and a magnificent view of the lake and the coast opposite which spectacularly rises out of the lake.
Swans, herons and ducks pass by, a sight to watch with a glass or two of the local Franciacorta wine, from the comfort of your paradise on earth.

■ The three level home, to the side of the veranda and courtyard, consists of:
▸ Ground floor
▸ Upper floor
▸ Semi-basement
The upper level has oak hardwood flooring throughout.
The home, bright and airy throughout, is in very good condition. The finished semi-basement was recently renovated; all three doors have also been recently replaced. Windows and doors are double glazed.
The heating system is natural gas fired. A pellet stove serves as an alternative system. A bedroom and the study are equipped with ceiling fans.
As a single family home, the home is free on all sides, a bit of a luxury in Italy where apartments and homes with at least one shared wall are much more common.
The current owner is leaving the country and as such is willing to consider leaving appliances and furniture should the buyer so desire; the kitchen will be left.
Monte Isola (also written Montisola) is an island in the middle of Lake Iseo in northern Italy, about two hours from Milan. Its surface covers about 4.5 km² and counts about 1600 inhabitants.
Numerous olive tree groves are testament to the island’s mild micro-climate. Fishing has historically been an important part of the local economy.
In 2016 it was made particularly famous by the The Floating Piers temporary installation of series of walkways by artist team Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
As cars are rare on the island, Monte Isola has a Venice like atmosphere without the Venetian crowds nor prices. Monte Isola is included as one of the “borghi più belli d'Italia”, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The island has also been recognized for its sustainability by the EU’s European Destinations of Excellence program.
Carzano is a well maintained lakeside hamlet on the north east corner of Monte Isola.
Carzano boasts a mini-market, two bars, a restaurant (specializing in fish, but very accommodating for those who want something else), a library, a doctor’s office and a church (San Giovanni Battista). The home is conveniently located to the services, each of which are less than a 5 minute walk away.
Every five years the village celebrates the Festa di Santa Croce, by decorating the village with more than 100,000 paper flowers. The tradition dates back to the middle ages.
Carzano is connected to the village directly across the lake, Sale Marasino, by frequent 24 hour ferry service. Sale Marasino for its part is serviced by direct trains to Rovato and Brescia. The closest airport is Bergamo-Orio al Serio, Italy’s third largest by traffic. Others to consider are Milan-Malpensa, Milan-Linate and Verona. Once in Carzano bicycles can be rented to explore the island.

Visit the property and its surroundings now using our 360° interactive virtual tour
A full screen button appears in the upper right. The same button will exit full screen mode
.
A floor plan appears on the right for each scene. Each scene which is on the current floor plan is indicated on the floor plan with a circle; the current scene is highlighted with a different color circle. Clicking / tapping on a circle will change the view to that scene. The floor plan may be closed or displayed by clicking on the floor plan icon. The floor plan is closed by default if the screen is really small (e.g. phones held vertically).
When a property has multiple floor plans numbers appear above the current floor plan; tapping or clicking a number changes the view to the first scene on that floor plan.
The complete list of scenes is available in a drop down list on the left. The current scene is highlighted. The list can be opened or closed
, tapping / clicking on its icon.
Link hot spots connect one room / space to another. Hover over with a mouse to see the target space name.
Using a table or phone it is possible to enable a virtual reality mode where the scene moves as the user moves their tablet or phone. This is enabled by default on small devices (phones). On a tablet it may be necessary to tap this "phone" icon. When enabled a "finger"
icon appears. Tap to enable movement by swiping.
Scenes will automatically rotate if the virtual reality mode isn't active; the rotation may be switched off using the pause
icon.
Arrows permit the user to pan the scene up, down, left and/or right.
Plus and minus buttons allow zoom in and zoom out.
A map of the area can be opened by clicking / tapping on the pin icon. The map has a layers icon in the upper right which allows the user to switch between aerial and street views.

We recommend using a tablet (best) or computer (notebook, desktop) to view the virtual tour. A mobile phone screen is too small to optimally view the scenes and to take advantage of all the tour features such as navigation using the floor plan. If you only have access to a mobile phone, we recommend viewing the tour horizontally, not vertically, in full screen mode.
